The Berkeley Retirement Home’s independent living suites/apartments are your home away from home. We provide a loving environment where you can enjoy new hobbies, meet new friends and maintain your independence, while having the peace of mind that help is just steps away.
As a resident of our independent living unit, you will enjoy the privacy of your own studio apartment with a full private bathroom including standup shower; yet have the convenience of personalized dining room meal service for three meals a day, where you can meet up with old and new friends. Our chefs prepare healthy, delicious meals, providing options personalized to residents needs and tastes. Healthy snacks, fruit and coffee are always available. On days that you might not be feeling well, your meals will be brought to you.
As a resident, you will also receive light housekeeping, laundry services (personal and linens), full pharmacy service (your medications come right to the Berkeley, you do not have to worry about going to the pharmacy), medication administration, 24/7 clinical staff and onsite parking.
Every day brings something new, as our activities team provides you with an endless array of things to do including daily exercise, crafts, parties, entertainment, and daily religious services in our onsite chapel. We continuously look for new opportunities to engage with the community, while protecting your health.
Every day you will receive a visit from one of our clinical staff to check in and provide medication, if necessary. A nurse practitioner will visit every week; however, is always on call 24/7. Our doctor will visit monthly; however, is on call 24/7 in the event of an emergency. We also offer onsite radiology and laboratory services.
Services available at an additional cost include internet, cable, phone, barber and hair salon services.
As you needs change, we can develop a plan for a personal care attendant to help with grooming or bathing.
Married couple suites are also available.
